Tour Description

This fantastic full day small bus tour for a maximum of thirteen people, encompasses a mixture of spectacular sightseeing and boutique wineries of your choice, with an expert commentary from your, friendly and informative driver/guide.

Departs your Adelaide or Glenelg accommodation at approximately 9 am. Hop aboard for an absolute ball as you’ll visit the beautiful Barossa to experience a taste of the good life. You can sample a delicious Eden Valley Riesling, a beautiful Barossa Shiraz plus other premium boutique wines.

You will visit two or maybe three cellar doors for tastings in and around this magnificent region, with plenty of time to purchase that special bottle to take home and savour at your leisure. Wineries can be selected by your experienced guide or if you have a particular wineriy that you wish to visit, we may be able to include this. Just be sure to discuss with the driver at the beginning of the day. Please note some wineries may incur a small additional charge for wine tastings. We also have a selection of wineries that offer free tastings as follows:
Kersbrook Hill Wines & Cider
TeAro Estate
Kies Family Wines
Rusden Wines
Chateau Dorrien Wines
St Hallett Wines
Hemera Estate
Kellermeister Wines
Langmeil Winery

Fresh regional produce abounds, while highly commended restaurants and spectacular scenic landscapes make this one of Australia's most significant wine regions. With its rich European cultural heritage, strong links still remain within this thriving community and blend with the down-to-earth Australian lifestyle to perfection to create a vibrant atmosphere in a relaxed and rejuvenating rural setting.

Lunch at the Monket Nut Cafe at Kies Wines is included - please note lunch venue may change occasionally. Typical menu would include a choice from:

Signature Monkey Nut Platter for One
A fine Select ion of locally sourced meats, cheeses, antipasto, dips, crackers and a home made red wine damper.

Warm Chicken Salad
Chargrilled chicken served with a garden salad and homemade mustard aioli.

Vegetarian Lentil Curry Pot Pie
Topped with creamy mash and a pinenut, rocket and sundried tomato salad.

Gourmet Steak Sandwich
Chargrilled rump steak, served in a fresh Turkish roll with lettuce, Zimmy's onion spread, chargrilled capsicum and chips.

Fish and Chips
Crispy battered fish, served with a garden salad, chips and home made mustard aioli.

While travelling through the picturesque Adelaide Hills and Mt. Lofty Ranges, you can peruse the historic villages and townships that lay dotted around the landscape. The sights, sounds, colours and charm of this countryside – plus the unique native wildlife – offers an absolutely enchanting spectacle.

You’ll be off again and on your way to Hahndorf, Australia's oldest German settlement. Entering this quaint village, the first thing you will come across are the strikingly beautiful 100-year-old Elm and Plane trees lining the main street. When you combine these with the numerous wooden Fachwerk buildings – many of them perfectly restored and maintained in their original condition – it’s a magical sight to behold. You will have an hour here to explore and investigate at your own pace. Have a divine coffee in one of the local European eateries, stroll around quaint souvenir and gift shops, ogle at the beautiful clothing and perfectly crafted leather goods and various unique galleries or even try an authentic German beer and soak up the ambience in this wonderful part of the South Australia!

After an amazing day you’ll arrive back in Adelaide at 5:30 pm, then delivered to your original pickup location.
